Jamie's chocolate porridge

Image
Cooking the chocolate porridge recipe from Jamies latest cookbook "superfood family classics". The recipe is available online Ingredients 200g of dates, 200g of hazelnuts, 400g of porridge oats, 2 teaspoons  of vanilla extract, 3 heaped tablespoons cocoa powder, 1 oranges zest. First you pour the hazelnuts in a pan and grill them for about 3mins.  Then you put the right amount of ingredients in, then grind it up in a food processor. And it should look like this. And put in a air tight container where it will last a couple of weeks. 👌👍😀 And if you wanted to you could prepare some fruit.  Then put the mixture in a pan to boil and stir as well. Like this. This is my sisters. This is my mums. And this is mine. Yum yum yum

Chocolate cornflake Easter nests

Image
We found the recipe for these Easter nests on goodtoknow.co.uk. My sister and me broke some chocolate up, put it in a bowl, added some golden syrup butter and melted it in the microwave.      Then we mixed the cornflakes with melted butter and chocolate. We spooned the mixture into cupcake cases . And then we all put some chocolate eggs on top whilst enjoying some ourselves (yum yum). We put them in the fridge to cool them down, to let them harden. After that we ate them all. THE END

My first bake - Blueberry muffins

Image
My blueberry muffins My ingredients and my Mary Berry recipe book I chose to make a recipe from Mummy's Mary Berry cook book (Mary Berry's Baking Bible), as I really like her on Great British Bake Off. I chose the Blueberry muffins on page 128 because they looked healthy and delicious. 1) First I collected all the ingredients from around the kitchen, fridge and under the stairs (Mummy's pantry). 2) I then set the oven to Fan 180. 3) I then mixed together the flour, baking powder and butter to make "breadcrumbs". See my photo below. I then added the blueberries, sugar and grated lemon rind.   4) I then stirred our home made eggs (thanks to our pets chickens....Delia, Nigella and Mary). They are very very yellow and much nicer than shop bought ones. I then added the milk to the eggs. 5) I then added the eggs mixture to the dry mixture and carefully stirred them together. 6) I then divided the mixture equally between ...
